Failed to write update container file!

I recently got this PLCnext from one customer. Apparently the device has run out of internal memory, because I can’t copy any firmware update file. If I try to update from the web-server, I get this error: „Failed to write update container file !“ It only copies 15Mb out of the 122Mb. Then if I try to copy the file manually using WinSCP, I get the following error message (see picture). I’ve tried to use the command „recover-axcf2152 2“, but this won’t solve the issue. Is there a way to restore every folder in the kernel to the original versions (without any trash file)? Thank you.

Hello Vcorona, Is it possible that you had a Balena engine + alot of containers installed? The containers will be installed not on the Overlayfile system and so not deleted with a reset. It is possible that the SD Card of your PLC is to full to hold the FW Update file. To reset the installed containers login via SSH and delete the folder „/media/rfs/rw/var“ Kind regards, Oliver

Thank you, Oliver. It worked perfectly!

Hello,

I have exactly the same issue as Vcorona and I have tried to reset the installed containers but I cannot find the „var“ directory inside „rw“ directory, instead I get the following directories inside: „lost+found, upperdir, work“. Is there any other location where I can find it?

Best regards.
