Hello~ I want to know if there is any API or tutorial for a Java program to access Global Data Space (GDS),just for non-real-time application. The hardware is AXC F 2152 Thanks a lot
Hello, If you are able to include an OPC-UA Client library in your java app, then this is one way to achieve that goal. If you are thinking of a more customised solution, then the closest we have at this stage is the SampleRuntime example, which is a stand-alone exe written in C++ that accesses I/O on the PLC using ANSI-C libraries. I guess that java (like all other good languages) can use C libraries, in which case you should be able to access the PLC I/O from a java exe. If java can also use C++ libraries, then you may be able to access the PLCnext RSC services, including the IDataAccessService for reading and writing GDS variables. I am aware of similar examples currently being worked on in C# (on .NET core), javascript (on node.js) and rust, with some success already, so if you manage to get this working with java it would be good to know. And if anyone out there has done this using python - or would like to try - please let us know! Martin.
