Hello i finaly got my 5computers network licence, but i can’t activate it on computer nr. 2-5?
It worked fine on the first computer, but i can’t get it to work on the other computers? I have looked all the manuals i can find, but can’t find a solution on this problem? -Emil
How to activate network licenses Pre-Conditions A PC (network-server) which is connected via LAN or WLAN to others PCs (clients).
On this network-server the network licenses are activated via Activation Wizard.
PC Worx Engineer (PCWE) is installed at least on each client PC.
On the network-server PC there must be installed at least the Activation Wizard or PCWE (Activation Wizard included).
Each PC gets its IP-address via DHCP. IP-addresses are dynamic. Goal Out of a number of PCs which are all connected to the same LAN/WLAN only specified PCs and the network-server itself shall get access to the network-licenses as a client. Configuration of the network(license)-server: 1) Call via Windows Start the CodeMeter Control Center.
2) Call the WebAdmin user interface by clicking the button “WebAdmin” in the right lower corner of the Control Center main window.
3) Open the menu item “Configuration/Server/Server-Access”.
4) On the tab “Server-Access” check the option “Activate network-server”. Click the button “Accept” to activate your settings.
5) Open the tab “Configuration/Server/Licence Access Permissions”.
6) On the tab “License Access Permissions” please activate the mode “Basic”.
7) In the list “Clients” under “Basic Mode Operations” please enter the complete of the network-server and all of the clients which shall have access to these licenses. Click the button “Accept” to activate your settings. Attention: as far as this list is empty all PCs in the same network will have access to the licenses of the network-server!
8) Restart the CodeMeter-service. Please go back to the CodeMeter Control Center to do so. In the menu “Action” select “Restart CodeMeter-service”. Configuration of the network(license)-clients: 1) Call the CodeMeter Control Center on the client.
2) Call the WebAdmin user interface on the client PC by clicking on the button “WebAdmin” in the right lower corner of the Control Center window.
3) Open the menu “Configuration/Basic/Server Search List”.
4) On the tab “Server Search List” please enter in position 1 the complete PC name of the network-server. Please click on “Add new Server” to do so. Click the button “Accept” to activate your settings. Use the symbol “?” in the upper right corner of the WebAdmin user interface to get a comprehensive help for all configurations. The “complete PC name” of your PC you can see calling “System” via a right mouse click on the Windows Start icon.
