As mentioned some time ago (Feb 2024 and even earlier), importing GSDML causes still errors (“missing submodul…”); I’m using PLCnext Engineer 2026.3, the GSDML-files are for Beckhoff (BK9103) and/or Siemens (IM153). Importing these files in other tools (e.g. Codesys) works fine.
So: should the import work with new PLCnext Engineer versions or is there still an issue ?
Thanks in advance,
Andreas
Hello Andreas,
please contact our support hotline directly with the ticket number #562482.

We need the two GSDML files that are not interpreted properly for analysis
GSDML-V2.3-beckhoff-BK9103-20240116.zip (59.4 KB)
im153-4.zip (61.3 KB)
I’ve just added the two files; “GSDML…" is for Beckhoff, “im153…” for Siemens.
Thanks
Andreas
Hello Andreas,
I have imported both GSDML into a version 2026.3 and then have this device catalog from Beckhoff and Siemens available!
Are you missing a certain module there now?
The module lists of the modules are also available!
What is the problem now?
Hello Thomas,
thank You for testing.
It’s correct - I can use the modules; but: the import records an error:
“Fehler”;“13.04.2026 07:09:49”;“MSG_NET0036”;“Fehler beim Import des Geräts BK9103 V2.0. Fehlendes Schnittstellen-Submodul. (D:\SuS_5\Profinet\Hilscher\Gerätebeschreibung\Beckhoff\GSDML-V2.3-beckhoff-BK9103-20240116.xml)”.
So, for the moment, everything works for me, but one of the modules is missing:
“Information”;“13.04.2026 07:09:50”;“MSG_NET0034”;“4 von 5 Geräten erfolgreich aus Datei D:\SuS_5\Profinet\Hilscher\Gerätebeschreibung\Beckhoff\GSDML-V2.3-beckhoff-BK9103-20240116.xml importiert.”
Of course, as long as everything works, I can do my work; also “warnings” and “hints” may be acceptable, but “error” takes me a little bit nervous.
Thank You, regards
Andreas
