Indirect adressing in the eHMI

Hi Is there a way to do indirect addressing the eHMI (HMI Web serveur in PLC Next Engineer) , something like: for tag : HMI_Array[index], where index is a variable INT?

Hi, in the latest version ‘PLCnext Engineer 2019.6’ it is not possible to use a variable for a dynamic index in an array.(in the EHMI) We are still working to improve the tool. So we hope that this feature will come in one of the next versions. Best regards, Jonas

Hello, Could you tell me the improvement status of this issue? I also would like to access the array in the EHMI and I don’t think this feature is released. Best regards, A.H

Hello A.h,

as of 2020.0 it is still not implemented.
You will have to add some IEC Programming to get this effect.
You can use the index of a symbol list to write a specifc array element to a variable.
This way you are able to reuse HMI elements for multiple asignments.
I know this is a workaround but it still works…
I will see when we can support arrays fully.
Maybe the feature will be added with the sceduled “PLCnext Engineer HMI - Access to GDS Ports” feature, as this should also entail arrays and structs.
I will check and update this post ASAP.

Programming
kind regards,
Oliver

Hi A.h., with the upcoming PLCnext Version 2020.3 (release is planned for 9.4) it will be possible to access arrays dynamic based on a variable name. The overall support for string expressions will be improved, it will be for example, also possible to use string expressions to reference a variable, page, tags, FB instances… Just play a bit around with the next version and let us know your thoughts. cu Frank

Hi A.h., I’ve just had a chat with the PM and this feature must be postponed to version 2020.6 (due to the current Corona situation). Sorry and thanks for your understanding. cu Frank
