From the onset may i point out that i am a complete novice.
I am using the PLCNEXT Starter kit (1188165) with Left Alignable Interbus Master AXC F XT IB (2403018) connected to a single IBS IL 24 BK – T/U – PAC . The bus coupler is populated with 1 x DI Module IB IL 24 DI 4 – PAC and 1 x DO Module IB IL 24 D08/HD-PAC. The idea is to have multiple bus couplers in the field , 100m apart . Each with the DI and DO module.
I have followed examples and application notes found on this website.

But with no success. While following application note 108949_en_00 Left Alignable Interbus Master , i lose myself on page 14

Once you have inserted all the necessary worksheets and created all the necessary data types, program INTERBUS startup in structured text (ST) programming language using the IB_CONTROL_NEXT function block.
What are the necessary Data types?
Would greatly appreciate a working example of interbus with physical ad logical addressing and any other assistance and pointers.
