IOLINK IOL4 Master module setup for profinet

Hi there, I am having trouble reading the IOL4- iolink master device into the profinet side

  1. I can easily add iol4 to the axioline F devices (the not profinet)
  2. If I ‘Read profinet devices’ the slot with the IOL4 comes up with a question mark
  3. If I look at the diagnostics of the profinet - local bus I see the axl se iol4 and If I click on that it says the status is OK
  4. If instead I try to add the module manually → dbl click axl-f-bk-pn → module list → I can’t find IOL4 as an option, I can find IOL8.
  5. But if I search IOL4 under components it comes up as an option. (under I/O function module there are 7 options.. under module list there are 6 options)

I can add the module to the Axioline localbus of the PLC but not to the local bus of the BK.

Heya, yeah that is my issue, I am able to do the task on the axioline localbus but not on the profibus. Is there a solution to doing it on the profibus?

Update I was trying this with a AXL F BK PN which is apparently incompatible
