Missing or Removed Firmware Release(s)

We have previously downloaded the 2025.6 firmware for an AXC-F-2152 controller, but this version is no longer listed to download on the product page:
AXC F 2152 - Controller - 2404267 | Phoenix Contact.

Has it been removed intentionally or is this a website bug?

The Releases page still shows a tick for this firmware version on the 2152 (2025.0.3 also has a tick but is not available on the controller product page).

Hello Chris,

the FW2025.x wasn’t a LTS-Version, please follow the recommendation in PLCnext Info Center: Application-relevant changes 2025

”Once the upcoming long-term supported firmware version 2026.0 LTS is officially released, we recommend switching to this version as part of your regular maintenance or update cycles. This ensures that you continuously benefit from the latest advancements and improvements of our platform.”

Thanks, Eduard.

We are aware that 2025 is not an LTS version, but why has it been removed for download?

Hello Chris,

please find the following information in the “Change Notes” of firmware version 2026.0. I think this is the reason why the firmware was removed from the Download Center.

“The following Known Issue has been fixed with firm ware 2026.0 LTS: With firmware versions 2025.* , very sporadically, a “SIGSEGV” or “SIGILL” exception can occur after some days which results in a System Watchdog. It is no longer recommended to use the af fected firmware versions!”
