Need IB IL EX-IS PWR IN-PAC - 2869910 added to the Network List

Hello:

Can you please add the Part Number: 2869910 to the 'Network List" of availabe IN LINE Modules in PLCnext Engineer (using version 2020.6)?
We have urgent need to add this Module in the availabe modules listing, as we are at customer trying to get proper function.

Using IL BK PN unit with Intrinscially Safe I/O and the system will not function without this added unit.
If we remove all the IS I/O, system is OK and we can read/write to I/O on BK.
Once we install the IS I/O, BK faults.
Here is the Remote Rack we are trying to Implement, but the 'SF' Light on Bk is RED.

Please help in adding PN: 2869910 (IB IL EX-IS PWR IN-PAC) to the Network List

Thank you for your immediate attention to this issue. !

Hi Peter,

I am not sure that the problem is caused by the I/O configuration in PLCnext Engineer ...
According to the data sheet for that power supply unit, the communication lines ("Local Bus") simply pass through the module (via an opto-coupler). It looks like the module should be completely invisible to the Inline master, so it should not need to be configured in PLCnext Engineer.

The problem you are seeing might happen if the module is not installed correctly, e.g. if the modules are not fitted on the DIN rail correctly (causing a break in the contacts on the side), or if the power to the isolation module is not wired correctly.
In any case, if you have no luck by Monday morning, this can be looked at by the relevent cross-functional support team, since this could be a problem with InLine modules, or Profinet, or PLCnext Engineer. I have raised an internal ticket, and you can track progress with reference number 00133349.
