New app "AASX Server Demo Digital Twin"

Hi community!
We have published a new app called „AASX Server Demo Digital Twin“ in the PLCnext store. Check it out here: https://www.plcnextstore.com/permalinks/apps/latest/60002172000559
We would really appreciate if you could share your comments on this app here in this discussion.
Thanks!

Hi PLCnext Team,
thanks for this demo server app. As we (IIP-Ecosphere project) are experimenting much with AAS, some of our students are currently testing an installation of the app. We also planned to directly integrate the server into our HM’23 demo and to link it into our software platform. However, after installation onto the AXC 3152 for that demo we found more than 70% of RAM occupied (44% more than with the PLC program running). This does not leave much space for our AI container :o We tried to stop/de-install the app and failed. When stopping it, the WBM says
… is being stopped
and nothing is happening. When trying to de-install it, WBM says
Error Code: InstallationModeActive
Error Message: „Installation Mode is already active“
Is there any (known) solution?
Thank you very much.
Best,
Holger Eichelberger

Hello Holger,

the error „Error Code: InstallationModeActive“, Error Message: „Installation Mode is already active“ should not occur.
Question: Which FW version do you use on the controller?
Nevertheless the problem with the installation mode should disappear after reboot of the controller.

                                          * What is the state of the app after reboot?
                                          * Does it still appear as running or is it in state stop and can be uninstalled?
                                          * Is it then possible to uninstall?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I guess you may have already tried this. Lets get these clear first because the following procedure will become very individual.

Best regards,
Daniel

Hello Daniel,
it is on 2022.0.8 LTS level. And indeed, you are right, after rebooting the device I was able to uninstall it. Whyever, we were a bit careful rebooting the device, probably because we were happy that our robots were moving
I just do not have a PLCnext Engineer here to check whether the memory problem is gone, but I strongly believe that the problem is solved.
Thank you very much,
Holger
