Online Controller Search Using VPN Adapter

Hello,

I ran into an issue where I am trying to connect to an AXC F 2152 PLC using a VPN but I can’t choose it as a network adapter to be able to go online to it. Will this be implemented in future releases to be able to select VPN network adapters on the Online Controllers tab.

HI PLCAdam,
the Online Controllers tab has almost nothing to do with connecting to a PLC. It’s simply a tool to find available PLCs within a network (via DCP) and r/w stuff (IP, Subnet etc) to PLCs.
To connect to a controller, given you know the IP address, you double click your PLC node in PLANT and open the Settings tab. There you should see Ethernet on the left side. Select it and you can enter the IP settings on that page.

After you’ve done that you can open the cockpit or context menu on the PLC node and hit Connect.
