PLC Engineer on Windows 7

Just wondering if PLCNext Engineer (2019) still supports Windows 7 ? I can’t create any new project after installing it on my laptop. Cheers Joerg

I guess I need to apply a license …

Hi Joerg, PLCnext Engineer 2019.0 does support Windows 7. The software will work as soon as you install it, forever, without any aditional licence. You do not need to order a licence for PLCnext Engineer unless you are using one of the “Optional add-ins” (e.g. SFC editor). What message are you seeing that makes you think you need to order a licence? - Martin.

Hi Martin, if I start PLC Next Engineer it shows three empty windows and most of the menu items are greyed out. 2019 02 28 09 15 02

Hmm, that looks like it has not installed correctly, or that it has started up in some sort of restricted mode. Perhaps you had earlier versions of PC Worx Engineer and/or PLCnext Engineer installed on the same machine? Please try uninstalling all versions of the software, and re-installing the latest version. What flavour of Windows 7 are you using? - Martin.

Hi Martin, i just removed the software and did a complete new installation and it works now! Thank you J.
