PLCnext Engineer became restricted - why?

One morning PLCnext Engineer 2022.9 started in restricted mode:
restricted.pngIt shows „PLCnext Engineer (restricted)“ in title.
It’s not possible to edit projects now. Why did it happen? How to switch it back to normal mode?

Here is the answer from the PLCnext Engineer support team:
the restricted mode starts if multiple instances are opended on one PC.The second started instance will be the restricted one. Please make sure that only one instance is opened.You can resolve the message if you close every instance and reopen only one.If this doesn’t help, restart the PC and check the behavior again.

Thank you, problem solved. PLCnext Engineer was running for some reason in background. After killing that process new instance was started in normal mode.
