PLCnext Engineer Crashes Sending Sources

I have an issue with 2021.3 and 2021.6 where as soon as I try to send project or changes with sources, PLCnext Engineer crashes. I was hoping 2021.6 would resolve it, but it did not. Note that Z:\\ is a mapped network drive. Hello Rob, your request has been forwarded to the responsible team. Some questions in the meantime are: If you explicitily project->compile or even save the project first is the issue the same? Is there any difference between download change and full download? Is this the only effected project? It probably is only occuring when using the network drive right, can you please check the permissions on the drive? Sometimes Networkdrives tend to be readable writeable but not changeable… Please verify if a local copy of the same project causes the same issue. kind regards, Oliver

No change in behavior that I can see with combinations of save/rebuild then send. No difference between download change and full download. Same condition with different projects and different network drives, mapped drives, etc. I am not sure how to verify my permissions. I’ll have to look into that further. A local copy of the project does not have this issue. I do not have this issue with PLCnext Engineer 2021.0.X. This started with 2021.3. Thank you, Rob H

Hello Rob, we are able to reproduce this issue. Thank you for reporting this issue. Seems to only effect the Download with sourcecode - can you confirm this? We will investigate further for a possible workaround. kind regards, Oliver

Yes, it only affects download with sources. No issues sending without sources.

Hi Rob, I’ve just received an update from the dev. A fix for this issue is planned for 2021.6.1 - planned release is end of September. BR, Frank
