Started experimenting with a 2152 a few weeks ago and got it to work previously. Trying to add an 1152 to my project such that the devices will be master / slave. However, before doing that I disconnected my 2152 from my network and plugged the 1152 into my computer to first establish and configure the IP address so that I can ensure it is set up without any conflict. I am running into this exact problem here: Redirecting to new forum... Using the web manager I can access the 1152 via 192.168.1.10 and login and confirm that my firmware is version 2021.0.3 LTS and I can ping the device. So it is connected and accessible. Within PLCnext engineer I can start a new project using the template with an 1152 and select the 2021.0.0 version. When checking for online devices in the project tab, nothing shows up. I have the correct ethernet connection selected. I can right click the 1152 device within my project, select “connect/disconnect” and I will be prompted to enter the credentials and I can successfully connect to the device this way. However, I cannot seem to add this device to my project as it cannot be found in the online controllers within the project tab. Therefore I cannot seem to change the IP address and then assign the settings to the controller as it is always greyed out. How can I get PLCnext engineer to find the controller??
Hello doublec4, we can start a MS Teams remote session and analyze this issue together. Do you have allready installed MS Teams on your Window OS ? Best Regards Eduard
Hi doublec4, next to a remote session the following how to might be helpful (don’t be scared from the looong url, it is a redirection to our knowledgebase ). Knowledge Portal Take care, Frank
Hi Frank, Eduard, Yes I have MS Teams. Please let me know how we can set up a meeting to figure this issue out. Thank you
Hello, I am facing the same issue with the 2152 controller. Can anyone please update the solution on this thread? Thanks, Anil.
Hi Anil, Can you please give more information about your setup, and what you have tried? - Are the PC and PLC on the same network, with no routers (including WiFi routers) between the PLC and the PC? - What version of PLCnext Engineer are you using? - Have you selected the correct Ethernet adapter in the PLCnext Engineer “Project => Online Controllers” window, before clicking the Search button? - What LEDs are illuminated (steady or flashing) on the PLC?
Hi Martin, Thanks for your response. Yes, The PC and PLC are on the same network, nothing in between them & the correct Ethernet adapter has been selected. The issue was that the PLCnext Engineer version & the Hardware Firmware wasn’t updated. Now everything works good! Regards, Anil
