What is the password for user plcnext_firmware ? I am trying to copy some files to the PLCnext using ftp and logged as “admin”, but of course they all get the “admin” owner. The chown command is useless considering the current PLCnext security strategy. By the way, it would be nice feature if we could attach some extra files to the PCWEX package to be uploaded. Thanks Frédéric
Im not aware of a “Firmware” password but there is a root if you set the root password up use sudo passwd root follow the prompts, entering a new root password, then you can log in as root and have the elevated permissions you probably need Hope that helps
I found that the restored files that now have “admin” as owner instead of “plcnext_firmware” does not change the system behavior.
Hi Frédéric, will owe you still an answer regarding pack additional files into the .pcwlx. Coming with FW 2.0 we will have also a significant change in the tool chain in building .pcwlx. With the new tool (command line based with an Eclipse plug in) it will be possible to add addtional files (e.g. external libs, config files…) into the .pcwlx. Take care, Frank
