Hi, is there a way to update the GSDML file of an already added Profinet IO device in the Profinet tree in PLCnext Engineer without having to delete and readd the device ( and losing all the in/out mapping) ?
In this case the Profient IO device is a Beckhoff terminal/gateway that allows to configure the address/ registers map and export the GSDML file to be imported in PLCnext . But as a I add/update the address space I need to update the GSDML file in PLCnext with the new file that has the newly added registers. I couldn’t find a way to do that unless I delete the existing GSDML file + the Profinet IO device and add them again .

Hi, using copy/replace updates the GSDML ( don’t have to delete the profi device) but the mappings are still not retain 
. Is there another way to update the gsdml without breaking the variables/IOs mapping ? thanks
