Our customer wanted to prepare a new device with the latest firmware and set the needed IP-Address. When scanning for an online device, he receives the error message “ProfinetServiceHost not working anymore” (see attached image) I found that the ProfinetServiceHost has firewall rules for TCP and UDP does this crash happen, because of missing permissions of the service host, to create those rules? Hello Fabian, to get more details on the crash please have a look at the Event Logs or “Ereignis Anzeige” There should be some more details why the application stopped. please also check your network adapter for activated PCAP drivers. kind regards, Oliver
Hi Oliver, the problem has been resolved. The network our customer was in, while using the search functionality, had restrictions for the used protocol, which caused the exception. When setting up a direct connection to the PLC outside of the company network, it worked fine.
