Hello Martin, I was having the same problem with an AXC F 1152 so I did the Type II reset as indicated on the manual. However, the problem persists: I connect the PLC to the voltage supply, the UL and D LEDs turn on and the BOOT LED begins flashing red. This continues forever, just occasionally both BOOT and D turn off for one second and then resume. I do not know what else I can try, I am not being able to use the PLC. Thanks in advance, Carlos. EDIT: One thing I read might help is updating the firmware on the controller. Can I access the device through WinSCP even if it is in this state? One question I have regarding this is how do I know the hardware version of my controller when I am to download the firmware update. EDIT 2: I tried accessing the PLC using WinSCP and I get the following (Note, I have never accessed this specific unit before): See attachment.
Hello Carlos, so a Type 2 reset resulted in this state? https://www.plcnext.help/te/Where_to_start/Hardware/Hardware_documentation.htm → Handbook um_en_axc_f_x152_107708_en_08.pdf page 32 Default setting type 2 Do not power down this might take a few minutes! If it is not possible to leave that state you will have to contact your local subsidiary for a repair / replacement. The SN ,HW version is printed on the side of the device. kind regards, Oliver
Hello Oliver, thank you for your reply. Yes, I performed the type 2 reset as described in that page of the manual. I ended up turning the controller off after 40 minutes of the state described above though, as I had to leave the office. So you suggest I just contact the local subsidiary? Is there not anything else I might do? Carlos.
Hello Carlos, if you are unable to SSH into the PLC and it is caught in a BOOT loop there is nothing you can realy do without opening the device (loosing varanty.) So it is better to contact the Subsidiary for a replacement. Looks pretty much like a faulty device or fault during FW Update. kind regards, Oliver
