Good afternoon,
I am developing FB libraries for PLCnext Engineer.
I would like to publish them in the store under its terms and conditions, and sell them for a small price.
The problem is that I am an individual. I do not have a company, nor am I self-employed.
Is there any formula or way to do this?
Best regards.
Thank you very much for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, I must inform you that the PLPCnext Store is exclusively a business-to-business platform.
The decision to structure the platform this way was primarily driven by legal considerations, such as warranties, liability, the right of withdrawal, etc.
Furthermore, we have to critically consider the question of what happens if you lose motivation. Will you still find enough time for maintenance and support your published FBs? I think a company is better equipped to handle such situations.
I hope you aren’t too disappointed. I also strongly suspect that you have developed wonderful FB.
Regards
Daniel
It is a real pity not to be able to participate in the development of the PLCnext platform.
I understand the company’s position, but I would like to point out that you are missing out on a great deal of potential from automation programmers who do not have the backing of a company.
A good example of what I mean is the Android operating system. From the very beginning, anyone was allowed to develop applications for it.
Would Android have achieved the same level of success if application development had been restricted to only a few developers?
I don’t believe it would have.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
