Hello Team, just a simple question with regard to https://github.com/PLCnext/SampleRuntime/tree/master/PLCnextSampleRuntime example. The I/O cycle time access is not running under ESM Tasks but with a method running in a linux thread. What does imply for the determinism of the I/O read/write access? We get reliability in terms of cycle time but not in terms of I/O read/write consistency between programs, could’t we? Thanks Angel
hi folks, another question. In order to get access to I/O Modules, Serial Modules… is it absolutely necessary to declare the Port Variables in the PCWE or to edit the xml Port files previously? Even If we want only to access these ressources from C++? I’m pretty sure about this but I want your confirmation because this is a typical client question. Could you also resume what kind of variables or ressources from a PLCNext application can be got without previous Port declaration from external applications like C++? I know about FW Variables (CPU Use, Tª… etc) but what else? For example for a sockets C++ application, do we need to previously declared the ethernet port as GDS Port? Thanks! Angel
