How can I run a Matlab Simulink project in PLCnext?
Is there any good tutorial?

Thanks.
Firstly, please read through the user manual for “PLCnext Target for Simulink”, that you can download from our website. That explains how to set up the required software.
This playlist on YouTube explains how to set up and run a simple Simulink project on a PLCnext Control target:

In the video it comes how the option to run in external mode is taken, but it is an old version.
In my current matlab version it won’t let me put external mode.
Is an app needed to carry out said external mode?
You’re right, those videos are quite old. There is work currently underway to update them. The User Manual is more up to date. Page 62 of the user manual (which you can download from the Phoenix Contact website) describes External Mode:
ok, i’ll try it. Thank you!
