Hello, I would like to know in which folder should be copied a public key in order to make SSH key authentication. I’m trying to copy it to /etc/ssh folder but the access is denied. C:\\Users\\ht3b3d\\.ssh>scp id_rsa.pub root@192.168.1.200:/etc/ssh
root@192.168.1.200’;s password:
Permission denied, please try again. How should I do it? Angel
Hello Angel, please activate the “PermitRootLogin yes” in /etc/ssh/sshd_config. It should look like this: #LoginGraceTime 2m PermitRootLogin yes Then reboot the controller, log in as root user and copy the ssh-key into the file. Best Regards, Eduard
Alternatively, you could copy the file to the PLC as admin - to the /opt/plcnext directory, for example - and then log on to the PLC as admin, and move the file from there. ~ Martin.
Hello Eduard, Martin, Thank you so much! Angel
