Static IP Address to LAN and DHCP to WAN

I am trying to use the ethernet expansion module AXC F XT ETH 1TX 2403115 to connect the local machine network (192.168.X.X) and I would like connect to our company WAN via DHCP on the standard ethernet port. Then the intent would be to use the device name rather than a static IP to access the controller from the WAN. Is this possible?

Hello Rob, we support DHCP on the Linux side, but not from the perspective of the PLCnext firmware. Currently it is not possible to use the DHCP functionality on standart ETH-Port or AXC F XT ETH 1TX 2403115 extension module, this feature is planned for the next year. Workaround: You can use the MGuard. With external DHCP-IP-Configuration and static IP-address for internal Network (connection to PLCnext AXCF2152 Controller).

If you are using PN-Communication in your network, please use the AXC F XT ETH 1TX 2403115 extension module as PN-Master Port and standart ETH-Port for PN Device or another separate subnet. Best Regards,
