Stepper motor

Hello engineers on the community , i’m approaching with PLCnext starter kit 1046568, so i have a problem when i research with stepper motor , i can’t find PTO block or pulse related block on Library , even PLCnext store , so can you support me find a function block to pulse generator the motor ? i’m going to intermediate control through Jetson nano or raspberry pi , can you give me advice ? Many thanks !

Hi, standard digital output modules cannot switch outputs with the high frequencies required for a stepper motor. In this case we have a special I/O module that can generate these pulses: AXL F PWM2 1H You can download the documentation for this module from our website, which describes how to set up and operate this module.

Thank Dr.Martin , I understand, so I will consider adding another PLC like Siemens as a slave, Is this issue approved? if so, do you have any documents related to this issue? I sincerely thank you.
Is this issue approved? if so, do you have any documents related to this issue?
Sorry, I don’t understand. There is no issue with the AXC F 2152 or the Starter Kit, you simply need to purchase an I/O module to generate the high-frequency pulses required by a stepper motor. If you have a Siemens PLC that can generate the required pulses, then that could be another solution. There are a number of ways to communicate between an AXC F 2152 and a Siemens PLC, including hard-wired signals, or via Ethernet (e.g. TCP/IP, Modbus/TCP or Profinet). If you need help setting this up, then I can ask a technical specialist to contact you directly, if you want. Kind regards, Martin (not a doctor
