Struggling to connect PLCNext Engineer to PLC over TC Router VPN

Hi all,

I am struggling to connect to an AXC F 3152 over VPN using a TC Router 3002-4G GL.

The connection seems to somewhat work since I can ping the PLC but when I try to open the web HMI it only shows this initial screen with the black rectangle in the middle.

When trying to connect to the PLC using PLCNext Engineer, it shows it is connected like this:

But the “connecting” loading bar keeps running and after a while it gives the error:

“An Error occurred while trying to update online values” followed by “Connection Lost”

VPN setup was done using mGuard Secure Cloud.

Hi Erhard,

there is an option to increase the timeout for connections (Options>Online>Communication Settings)

Maybe that helps with your connection issues.

Changing the Packet data mode to PPP seems to have done the job.

Increasing the timeout duration also dealt with the intermittent disconnections after that, thanks DivisionByZero.
